Medical and Humanities Research:
*1965–1969:
Studied philosophy, literature, and law at Saigon University of Law and Saigon University of Letters.
*1965–1980:
-Researched traditional medicine and acupuncture.
-Studied acupuncture under renowned traditional medicine practitioners, including Le Van Ke, Khuong Duy Dam, and Tran Dac Thuong.
Discoveries and Inventions:
*1965:
-Invented Yin–Yang Qigong, a breathing method that helps balance yin and yang in the human body, regulate functional disorders, increase vital energy, develop intellectual capacity, stabilize temperament, promote rejuvenation, and support longevity.
*1980:
-Discovered the first Dien Chan point on March 26, 1980—most notably Point No. 1 on the face—laying the initial foundation for a new treatment method called Dien Chan–Dien Cham (1980–1982). Since 1982, it has been known as Dien Chan–Dieu Khien Lieu Phap (Dien Chan–Cybernetic Therapy) and is now commonly shortened to Dien Chan.
*1983:
-Developed a 12-movement facial massage technique based on Dien Chan, together with the practice of rubbing the face with a hot towel, to promote abundant vitality, reduce illness, and support lasting youthfulness.
*1983–2014:
-Together with his sons—traditional medicine practitioner Bui Minh Tam and Masters Bui Minh Tri and Bui Minh Luan—he invented more than 100 therapeutic tools specifically designed for use with Dien Chan techniques. The Vietnam Book of Records Center honored him with the title “The Person Who Has Created the Greatest Number of Dien Chan–Cybernetic Therapy Tools for Disease Prevention and Home Treatment.”
*1983:
-Developed a reflexology-based treatment method for veterinary medicine—that is, a technique for caring for livestock and companion animals (cattle, horses, dogs, cats, etc.) using Dien Chan–Cybernetic Therapy.
*1984:
-Wrote a book on Nutritional Therapy (a method of preventing and treating illness through everyday foods).
*1985:
-Discovered a new moxibustion technique based on active acupoints for drug-withdrawal support and the treatment of illness within the Dien Chan method.
*1986:
-Introduced Dien Quyen Dao (a new martial art created by Bui Quoc Chau, now called Dien Vo Dao), based on Yin–Yang Qigong and the principles of Dien Chan.
*1986:
-Developed a new prenatal education method called Vietnamese Prenatal Education, designed to help Vietnamese mothers give birth to healthy, resilient, and intelligent children, thereby contributing to the well-being of future generations.
*1987:
-Developed the method of Enhancing Intellectual Capacity, Training Memory, and Improving Character.
*1988–1989:
-Expanded Dien Chan from the face to the entire body through reflexology diagrams identified on other parts of the body. This became the Multi-System, Multidimensional Reflexology method (Multi-reflexology), also known as VinaMassage. It uses therapeutic tools made from buffalo horn, high-grade plastic, and stainless steel instead of the facial acupuncture needles used in earlier years.
*1989:
-Discovered the reflex systems of the 12 pairs of cranial nerves and the endocrine system on the face, as well as methods for skin care and anti-aging.
*1992:
-Introduced Voluntary Exercise and Fasting Therapy (fasting to support detoxification, disease treatment, and weight reduction).
-Began developing the theory and practice of VinaSex (the Vietnamese Treatise on Sexual Pleasure).
*2005:
-Introduced new treatment methods called Huyen Cong, an energy-based therapy (énergie) founded on Yin–Yang Qigong breathing and the Theory of Correspondence. These methods do not involve direct physical contact with the patient and may be used even when the patient is far away.
-Drafted the novel “The Little Divine Healer of Vietnam” to teach primary and secondary school students how to prevent and treat illnesses at home.
*2006:
-Taught in Barcelona (Spain), Haute-Savoie, and Les Pennes-Mirabeau (France).
-Developed a diagram of six facial reflex zones corresponding to the body’s lymphatic system.
*2008:
-Published a book on new Correspondence Diagrams (on the hands, fingers, and other parts of the body).
-Introduced Thuc Dao Vietnam (the Vietnamese Way of Nutrition).
*2009:
-Taught in Paris and Barcelona.
-Published the first edition of “ABC du DienChan” in France.
-Discovered a singing technique that produces a warm, clear voice with a wider and higher vocal range, naturally improving vocal strength and quality to twice the ordinary level.
*2010:
-Introduced a form of massage that combines relaxation and therapy, called VietMassage. This method combines the use of hands, feet, and therapeutic tools.
*2010:
Developed a Dien Chan-based beauty-care discipline called “Dien Chan Beauty.”
*2011:
Discovered a technique of simultaneously rotating both wrists to powerfully increase vital energy and blood circulation, quickly warm the body, and help treat many conditions, including cervical and lumbar spinal degeneration, while supporting the treatment of internal-organ disorders.
*2014:
Created an apparatus-based exercise method using a tool called the Magical Double Roller.
2010–2015:
Together with Ms. Le Yen, President of Académie DienChan in Paris, attended and introduced Dien Chan at the International Health Fair in Paris twice each year.
*2015:
Invented a new tool called the Dewdrop Tool and developed the Nhat Duong Chi technique, enabling highly effective treatment for many conditions while requiring very little treatment time.
Work and Dien Chan Teaching in Vietnam:
*1977–1983:
-Worked at the Binh Trieu Drug Rehabilitation Center in Thu Duc, under the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
*1983–2015:
-Master Bui Quoc Chau and his outstanding disciples trained an estimated 30,000 students through Dien Chan courses and classes at various levels throughout Vietnam.
– To date, tens of millions of people across more than 120 countries are estimated to know about Dien Chan.
Application of Dien Chan in Patient Treatment:
*1981–2014:
-An estimated five million patients were successfully treated for a wide range of conditions, from common to complex, at the International Viet Y Dao Center in Ho Chi Minh City, in other parts of Vietnam, and abroad.
Dien Chan Teaching Abroad:
*1988:
-Havana, Cuba: six months.
*1990:
-Moscow, Russia: two months.
*1992:
-Paris (France), Warsaw (Poland), and St. Gallen (Switzerland): eight months.
*1998:
-Bahrain, Middle East.
*2001–2015:
-Taught Dien Chan in numerous countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania, including France, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan.
*1988–2015:
-Preliminary statistics indicated that Dien Chan had reached 35 countries and territories worldwide: France, Spain, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Israel, the United States, Canada, Cuba, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, Poland, Martinique, Tahiti, China, Laos, Thailand, Taiwan, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Japan, Réunion, Australia, the United Kingdom, Togo, India, and Cambodia.

–Doctor of Complementary Medicine and Star of Asia (an honor awarded to individuals of outstanding intellect worldwide), Colombo, Sri Lanka.
